New Balance and Concepts celebrate Boston's Freedom Trail

Just wanted to remind folks traveling to New England for Turkey Day that they need to stop by Concepts on Black Friday! And go early! That's when the NB for Concepts Freedom Trail package drops. Since New Balance and Concepts are both based in the greater Boston area, they decided to celebrate the heritage of the city, using the red of the Freedom Trail (it marks the walking history trail for visitors) and the brown of the brick of Boston's historic North End neighborhood.

They are rolling out a beaut of a 1500 runner, and a brand new hiker called the 875, both with gobs of high quality materials and luxury touches. The 1500 is a runner first out in 1989, and this version features a combination of perforated and solid suede with burnished leather. The 875 features the same combination of leathers with unique venting tick marks on the collar of each boot for maximum breathability. As Concepts brand manager Frank Rivera adds, “We selected rich brown honeybuck suedes and slick leathers that are so soft, if you push your finger into the leather, you will leave a thumbprint.” Sweet! The 1500 is going for $150, and the hiker is going for $160. Smallest size is probably (hopefully) a 7, possibly larger. They will also be available at select retailers worldwide.
